After working my way through high school and college with a general contractor, I spent the next three and a half years of my life as a professional carpenter with a company located on the Main Line, just outside of Philadelphia. While there, I found that I experienced the greatest joy while working on projects that involved detail-oriented finish carpentry. In what I felt to be a natural progression, I began to feel a draw towards furniture making.

I decided to try my hand at a few projects for myself, including a bed made entirely from mahogany that was salvaged from a building that we were renovating. I realized during the process that this was what I was born to do, so I poured myself into learning the tricks of the trade, and, several years later (with a little nudge from my loving wife) decided to open my own shop.
